Certificate for IT Users

This qualification is aimed at learners who want to perform basic tasks and want to familiarise themselves with everyday computer packages. The course will include the following modules:

  • IT Principles (Core Module)
  • Producing simple Word processing documents
  • Creating simple Presentations
  • Producing simple Spreadsheets

Diploma for IT Users

This course helps to build skills and confidence in a range of areas including:

  • IT Principles 2 (Core Module)
  • Using Word Processing software to adapt and merge documents
  • Designing and creating Spreadsheets
  • Designing and creating Presentations

Advanced Diploma for IT Users

The Level 3 e-Quals IT User qualification is ideal for learners who want to build on impressive IT skills. The IT Principles unit complements the optional units that will help learners build their skills in many areas including:

  • IT Principles 3 (Core Module)
  • Designing and producing documents and templates
  • Designing and producing spreadsheets to analyse information
  • Integrating applications to create advanced presentations

IT System Support

Information Systems Support manages and provides technical support for centrally administered services. The course aims at providing basic to advanced skills on how to upgrade and maintain both IT hardware and software.


Diploma for IT System Support (PC Maintenance) – Level 2

The level 2 Diploma in ICT Systems Support will help learners to explore areas in which they already have some basic knowledge and want to develop their skills. The qualification covers:

  • Maintaining equipment and systems

  • Installing, configuring and maintaining hardware and software

Advanced Diploma for IT System Support (PC Maintenance) – Level 3

  • Include units from Microsoft, Oracle, CISCO, CompTIA Security+ and Network+.

Diploma for IT Practitioners


This qualification is for learners who already have some knowledge and experience in the subject and want to improve or want recognition of their skills in systems support.

The qualification covers specific units developed for e-Quals, maintaining ICT equipment and systems, customer care provision, installing, configuring and maintaining hardware and software ICT systems.


Advanced Diploma for IT Professionals

These qualifications are for learners who want to progress in supporting users, maintaining and developing systems. They cover more complex work and learners could develop their supervisory abilities as well. Learners can select from a range of Software Development, Systems Support, IT User and non-IT units and can include units from Microsoft, Oracle, CISCO and CompTIA to contribute to their Advanced Diploma.


Diploma for Software Developers

This qualification is for learners who already have some knowledge and experience in the subject and want to improve or want recognition of their skills in software programming.

The course includes the following modules:

  • Create designs and test software components
  • Create software components using C++
  • Create software components using Java
  • Create software components using Visual.Basic.net

Advanced Diploma for Software Developers

Learners who want to move up the programming scale and start to find out how to define customer needs and improve their program design can progress to this qualification. It will also give learners greater in-depth knowledge in programming.
